  1. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a novel written by Ken Kesey in 1962.
The novel is set in a mental hospital in Salem, Oregon. Randle Patrick McMurphy, one of the main characters, is a patient who faked insanity to avoid the prison. The head nurse, Mildred Ratched, rules the wards with medical oversight. McMurphy constantly antagonizes Nurse Ratched and upsets the routine, leading to constant power struggles between the inmate and the nurse. McMurphy breaks her order and has a great influence on other patients, teaching them to enjoy life and even relieving chronic complexes. The head sister puts his out because she is unable to keep the situation under control and sends it to a lobotomy. McMurphy's life is interrupted, but other patients are becoming braver and more confident. They are exempt from the fears of the world and from the power of head sister, and they leave the hospital.
The book examines the struggle with the system. Issues of freedom, morality, humanity, self-esteem are also affected here. The book is read in one breath. There is a good sense of humor; plenty of characters which seem strange at first glance, but soon you can find out that the abnormality of each of them is their hallmark. Good story and epic end will not leave you indifferent

  2. Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 - December 21, 1940) was an American author of novels and short stories. He finished four novels: «This side of Paradise», «Beautiful and Damned», «The Great Gatsby» and «Tender is the night».
The Great Gatsby- is the most famous novel.
Nick Carraway had cousin, Daisy, and knew her husband, Tom, who had a lover, Myrtle Wilson. They introduced Nick to Jordan Baker, an attractive, cynical young golfer, with whom Nick began a romantic relationship. Nick’s neighbor was a mysterious man named Jay Gatsby, who lived in a big mansion and held extravagant parties every Saturday. One day Nick received invitation to one of Gatsby’s parties. There Nick meet with him and learned that Gatsby was deeply in love with Daisy from 1917 .Gatsby’s extravagant lifestyle and wild parties were an attempt to impress Daisy. Nick invited Daisy to have tea at his house. After awkward date, they began affair.
Tom knew that Gatsby was in love with his wife and began to sort things out.
When Nick, Jordan and Tom drive on the way home, they discovered that Gatsby car struck and killed Tom’s mistress, Myrtle. Later Nick leaned from Gatsby that Daisy, no Gatsby himself was driving the car, but anyway Gatsby intended to take the blame.
Myrtle’s husband arrived to Gatsby. Where he shooted both Gatsby and then himself.
I like this novel very much. I feel sorry for Gatsby. He is sensitive, sincere and infinitely kind.
I think nowadays, it is impossible to meet such man. He is perfect!

  3. My favorite book is «Romeo and Juliet». The author of the book is William Shakespeare. «Romeo and Juliet» has always been one of Shakespeare's most popular plays. It has been adapted to opera, ballet, television productions, and movies.
This is book about the noble families of the Montagues and the Capulets live in the city of Verona. They have had an argument, and are enemies, so all their servants are enemies as well. The young men who work for the Montagues and the Capulets get into gangs and fight each other in the street. Because it is fashionable to carry a sword, sometimes they get badly injured. Verona is ruled by Prince Escalus. He tells the Montagues and the Capulets that they have to stop fighting or they will be punished, but it is very difficult to control the young men. Montague has only one child, a teenage boy called Romeo. Capulet also has only one child, a beautiful 13-year-old daughter called Juliet. They do not know each other, because Juliet never goes anywhere without her nursemaid. Romeo and his friends go to a masked ball at the home of Juliet's parent. Romeo and Juliet met at a party and fell in love. Their love should heal all the problems between their families, but because they think they will get into trouble from their parents. Juliet knows that her parents want her to marry a cousin of the prince. Romeo and Juliet get married in secret. Because of their secret marriage, a lot of things happen which bring about many deaths. The unhappy families of Montague and Capulet are finally brought together in sorrow.
I really liked this story! And I'm sorry that only the death of two lovers could try on these families. I think that now not often you can find such a sincere and strong love.

  8. Of Human Bondage (1915) is a novel by W. Somerset Maugham. This book is the most famous and incredible novel. The main character of book is Philip Carey, who wants to find his vocation and mission.
Philip attends art classes and makes new friends, including Fanny Price, a poor and determined but talentless art student who does not get along well with people. Fanny Price falls in love with Philip, but he is unaware and does not return her feelings. Then Phillip struggles at medical school and comes across Mildred, who is working as a waitress. He falls desperately in love with her, although she does not show any emotion for him. Mildred tells Philip she is getting married, leaving him heartbroken. Next many years the main character was aware that love can be unrequited and decided to marry Sally and Philip becomes engaged to her, concluding that "the simplest pattern, that in which a man was born, worked, married, had children, and died, was likewise the most perfect."
Of Human Bondage is the most magnificent novel. It teaches us to be faithful, patient and never to forget happiness, especially love! That is why I wish everyone to read this wonderful novel.
